I asked our Mt. Etna tour guide his recommendation on Cannoli and he brought us here. Amazing Cannoli and the ladies working here were so sweet. We bought beautiful marzipan fruit, cannoli, pizza and Arancini. My favorite were definitely the Cannoli. Our tour guide said it is family owned and operated, with the people speaking no English so he ordered for us but we could have done the point and order or Google translate if needed. One of my favorite foods we tried in Italy.

I took a well-packaged panettone thinking it was from a pastry shop like in the pastry shops of Lombardy. Instead it was a panettone very similar to the industrial ones sold for a few euros, full of preservatives, tasteless dough, scentless candied fruit, so much so that it caused heartburn. It was a rip-off. The packaging was beautiful.

Driven by the many positive reviews I went to this pastry shop.
As soon as you entered, there was zero reception behind the counter, there was a lady (owner) who served you as if you were annoyed, in fact it even seemed like you were bothering you (without words).
I took the diner and it was inedible, rubbery, dry and empty of ingredients. The chocolate-stained almond granita wasn't exceptional, I expected better given how much you pay for it, same thing with the brioche with ice cream and cream...... some cream just the smell.

I thought that this pastry shop, given its historical presence and wonderful reviews, was a guarantee! Instead I found myself dealing with grumpy staff who were not very attentive to the requests I expressed, given that they charge well. I have never seen such an ugly mimosa cake (I attach photos), not even made at home by a simple housewife.
I will certainly never choose them for my occasions again. I feel like I have to tell the owners that by selling sweets they should sweeten the mouths of their staff and their own!
I purchased the birthday cake for my daughter and not only did it look good aesthetically, but it was also very good.
I got a cake for my mother's birthday at this "pastry shop".
